February 2024 was also a bad month for Kensington and Chelsea residents, when it was London's most dangerous area for vehicle crime, recording 294 crimes at a rate of 1.6 per 1,000 daytime population.

The most common crimes in Kensington and Chelsea are violence and sexual offences, with 4,956 offences during 2023, giving a crime rate of 27. This is 4.9% higher than 2022's figure of 4,722 offences and a difference of 1.20 from 2022's crime rate of 25. Kensington and Chelsea's least common crimes are possession of weapons, with 106 offences recorded in 2023, an increase of 37% from 2022's figure of 79 crimes.
