Wantage is a civil parish and market town located in Oxfordshire, England.
Wantage is historically known for the birthplace of King Alfred the Great in 849.
Wantage is situated beween Reading and Cirencester and can be accessed by the A417 road and A338 road between Hungerford and Oxford. There are various transports routes that link Wantage to bigger towns including Abingdon, Oxford and Didcot this is usually through stagecoach buses.
