The course is run over 5 days and is made up of 3 Units - Working in the Private Security Industry, Working as a CCTV Operator and Practical Use of a CCTV system. At the end of the course you will be required to pass two exams in order to achieve the qualification. A lot of people link this qualification with the level 2 door supervisor’s course as it makes you more employable. We will give discounts if both courses are booked and paid for together or if you have trained with us in the past we offer a loyalty discount.

The course content includes the following:
(14 hours Guided Learning of which all must be contact time)
-Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the CCTV operator and other CCTV Staff
-Understanding CCTV codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines
-Understanding relevant legislation and how it impacts on CCTV operations
-Understanding the importance of communication within CCTV operations
-Understanding emergency procedures in the CCTV control room
-Understanding the characteristics of a CCTV system
-Understanding health and safety relevant to the CCTV operator
8hours Guided Learning of which all must be contact time)
-Understanding how to use CCTV equipment
-Being able to confidently operate the CCTV system
(10 hours of which 1 must be contact time)
-Knowing the main characteristics of the private security industry
-Understanding legislation as it applies to the individual in carrying out a licensable activity
-Understanding the importance of safe working practices to comply with legal requirements
-Understanding fire procedures in the work place
-Understanding emergencies and the importance of emergency procedures
-Understanding the importance of communication skills and customer care
The course will start at 08:50 and finish at 17:00 on all four days
